Josh and Jessie turned to see one of the strangest
creatures they had ever seen. It stood at a height of a little
over 5 feet. It was covered on parts of it's body by a shiny
black exoskeleton. 7 red bubbles were on it's body at it's
shoulders, chest, arms, and legs. Its stomach was incredibly
thin, only about the width of a human wrist. A black crown of
exoskeleton was on it's head. It had no mouth, no ears, no nose,
but had two large green eyes.
It outstreched on of it's grey, wrinkled hands, "Good
morrow, Joshua..Jessica." The creature's voice seemed to
resonate around them. They couldn't tell if they were hearing it
or if they were imagining it. Josh said with a growl, "My name
is Josh..and just Josh." the thing sighed, "Whatever, I'm not
one for...mere details. I am Arcturus. I will be your new..."
Arcturus made a sound of disgut, "....partner." Jessie
said, "Mr..um....Arcturus, what are you doing with Sarah?"
Arcturus began, "When I came aboard this ship I detected a
strange power. At first I gave no second thought of it, but I
soon realized that this wasn't just some poor fool's Alakazam or
Hypno. It was a human being. This...female is no ordinary
creature. I believe she had been specially created to destroy
Giovanni." Josh and Jessie stood in confusion, their mouths
gaping open. Arcturus began again, "This is merely a
hunch...however. I must see if this is true and then dispose of
this..scum. Giovanni must not die. Now..let us go, I think we
should get to know each other." Arcturus grabbed his black
trenchcoat and hat. As they left, the sound of champaigne
bottles being opened echoed in the room. Cheering soon came
after.
Josh, Jessie, and a trenchcoat-clad Arcturus walked on
deck. Josh growled, "Listen Arcturus, all you have done so far
is insult us about us being human. Why don't you go work on
Sarah like you have been doing?" Arcturus grunted, "Listen, you
little soft skinned monkey, I don't take orders from low
ranking...humans." Arcturus put emphasis on the word 'humans'.
Josh began to reach for his gun, Jessie saw this and grabbed his
arm. Arcturus laughed, "Looking for this, Joshua?" He lifted up
Josh's gun, "I took the precaution of disarming you....you know
you can't give creatures of lesser intelligence weapons like
these, the might hurt themselves."
***Meanwhile***
Inside a small shop somewhere in Viridian city, a small,
dirty, portly man walks up to his counter. At the counter is a
taller figure, he stands silently as the man clears his
throat, "Here is the mask you wanted. Why couldn't you have
taken on of the ones we had instead of having me make a new
one?" The person spoke, his voice a dry, monotonous voice, "I
think this says it all" He puts 5 bills on the counter. The
portly man's eyes light up as he greedily snatches the money
with his short, grubby fingers. The other person inspects the
white mask.
***Back on the Anne***
Arcturus, Josh, and Jessie walk into their cabin. Jessie
walks into the bathroom while Josh sits down on a chair.
Arcturus removes the coat and hat, stretching his large back-
mounted claws. Josh looks at Arcturus, "Alright, out with it,
why do you really have Sarah in that...thing?" Arcturus
chuckles, "Do you want to know why?" Josh nods. Arcturus
continues, "Really?" Josh growls with
frustration, "Yeeees...YES!" Arcturus walks over to Josh and
brings his featurless face a mere inch from Josh's. Josh stared
into the bright green eyes of Arcturus, which seemed to flash
for a second. He could hear breathing coming from somewhere on
Arcturus's body, but any means of breathing wasn't visible.
Arcturus smiled, sort of. The way his face moved around his
eyes made it seem as though he was smiling. He laughed, his
voice sounding like it was everywhere at
once, "Well...I'm...not...telling....you." Josh roared and
pushed Arcturus, his smaller form fell back into the wall.
Arcturus screeched, he clenched his hands into fists, extending
two blue blades of pure energy brom his wrists. His claw arms
rose up from his back, unfolding and showing their barbed
talons. Josh grabbed his gun from the table. Just as they were
about to fight, Jessie walked out of the bathroom and saw them.
