Solano Trent and Katherine stared in awe as Akumachu stood before them in his new form. He hit the floor with his tail, producing an almost crack-like sound resonating through the large, empty church. "You do realize we're screwed, right, Kate?" "Not entirely. I have a plan." Katherine took a few steps back and put her hands together. She knelt down on the floor, lowered her head, and closed her eyes. "Uh... Kate?" Akumachu quickly twirled his staff and swung at Trent, who quickly ducked. Akumachu tried an overhead swing, but Trent quickly moved to the side. "Kate!" Trent yelled while dodging Akumachu's moves, "This is no time for prayer!" Katherine continued her silent prayer as Akumachu viciously continued his attack. Trent successfully dodged all of Akumachu's strikes, with a few close-calls. "Kate, you almost done? I don't see any angels coming here and kicking Akumachu's ass!" Akumachu thrust his staff forward, but only managed to get it stuck in the wall. Taking advantage of the situation, Trent ran over to Katherine. "You almost done?" "There, that should do it," she said as she stood up. Two swords appeared before them, hovering in midair. Trent grabbed one and ran towards Akumachu. "Oh, great, they want me to fight, too." Katherine took her sword and reluctantly walked after Trent. Akumachu still struggled to free his staff from the wall as Trent approached, sword raised. Quickly, Akumachu spun around and kicked Trent, pinning him on the floor with his foot. Trent, a little surprised, almost forgot he had a weapon and quickly slashed at his opponent, but Akumachu quickly flipped out of the way. He reached back for his staff and finally pulled it out of the wall. "Damn!" Trent yelled as he got up. Trent tried to swing at Akumachu a few times, but the evil demon easily dodged and countered with his own moves. Trent barely managed to block or dodge them. Akumachu twirled his staff as he backed away. He charged forward with a downward diagonal strike, a side swing and an upward diagonal slashed, but all were blocked by Trent. Trent attempted the same pattern, but he faked an opposite side swing. Akumachu narrowly blocked and kicked Trent in the chest. "Dammit... a dirty fighter..." Trent quickly got back on his feet just in time to see Akumachu attacking Katherine. Trent tried to strike Akumachu from behind, but Akumachu quickly blocked with the other end. Akumachu shifted his attention to Trent. Katherine, unused to fighting, stood there, wondering whether to attack from behind or to wait. Trent wanted to tell her to attack, but he was too busy blocked Akumachu's attacks. Finally, Akumachu landed a hit and managed to slash at Trent's left arm, leaving a rather large incision. Katherine went with her conscience and slash at Akumachu's back. Her sword left a horrible gash as his dark red blood oozed out of the open wounded. Akumachu quickly turned his head backward. Trent quickly spun his sword and thrust it into Akumachu's chest. Akumachu dropped his staff as Trent withdrew his sword. Akumachu fell to the ground, rolling over onto his back. Blood poured from the hole left in his chest. With what little strength he had left, Akumachu removed his own mask. What hid behind it was a combination wolf, Pikachu and human. His eye sockets were empty, a black void in their place. His red pupils had disappeared when he was slain. "Defeat..." Akumachu said with his dying breathe. "Defeat is at hand..." Trent dropped his sword and walked towards Katherine. Together, they observed Akumachu's nearing death. "...but is this..." Katherine dropped her own sword and clung to Trent, not used to seeing such bloodshed. "...the end?" Akumachu finally died. His body remained, but his soul disappeared. He returned to Hell, but not as ruler. He returned as a slave.
