Aerie shook her head. "He's kidding...I think. Nothing much happened."
Memuyo shrugged, casually flicking his tail to hit a button to send a
time machine back to the future, in that "I didn't know I was doing it
and you can't prove a thing" way that all felines had. He was the only
one to appear not to notice the time machine vanish, but no one said a
word about it for now.
Mainly because, if anyone had, they would have been drowned out by the
dude with the loudspeaker.
"ATTENTION EVERYONE! THE CONTEST IS STARTING! WILL ALL PARTICIPANTS
PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE PODIUM! REPEAT, THE CONTEST IS STARTING, AND WE
NEED ALL PARTICIPANTS AT THE PODIUM IMMEDIATELY! FAILURE TO SHOW UP
WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION! THANK YOU!"
Drake flipped his hood up. "Looks like we're wanted." He turned and
walked in the requested direction, soon followed by the other three.
