From: Josh (diane@magicnet.net) Subject: [PW!] The Lighthouse Of Danger, Part I Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon Date: 2000/06/15 -The Lighthouse Of Danger, Part I-Episode 09 "How close are you to the lighthouse," Blade heard through the receiver in his ear. "Close enough," Blade said as began to look around him. It began to rain and darkness was consuming the area. Blade and Stephon walked out of the woods and saw Bill's lighthouse, which was being heavily guarded by Team Rocket. "How many are there?" Stephon asked as he watched the forest. "I count four guarding the front door, and I see three on the roof. Its too dark to see though, their may be more," Blade said as he unsheathed his swords, "Get down, someone's coming." A figure ran towards Blade, until it finally emerged from the darkness. "You've got to help me!" the man said. His voice was scared and very tired. "I'm a friend of Bill's," he said, "Just a little while ago, Team Rocket busted into his lighthouse and tied us both up. They then began to search the place. As they were looking, Bill distracted them so that I could get away." "Alright," Blade said to the man, "I was sent here to rescue Bill. Stephon, take this man to the Cerulean City Pokemon Center while I go rescue Bill." Stephon nodded his head and grabbed the man's arm, leading him towards Cerulean City. "Wait!" the man shouted, "take this." The man handed Blade a Pokeball. "It's an Abra, you can keep it," he said as he and Stephon walked into the darkness. Blade put the Pokeball away and took out his night-vision goggles. He confirmed that their were four men standing by the front door. With his swords unsheathed, he ran towards the lighthouse. It was too dark for Team Rocket to see properly, so they never saw him coming. Once Blade figured that they'd be able to see him, he stopped and kneeled on the ground. He knew that he had to get rid of them without them alerting anyone inside. He had only one idea to get them away from their post. "All's clear," one of the men yelled. "Clefairy," said the Clefairy that hopped by them with a Moon Stone in its h and. "Hey, that's a Clefairy!" yelled one of the men, "And it's got the Moon Stone!" The four men ran after the Clefairy, which disappeared into the darkness. The four men ran after Clefairy, but were stopped by Blade, who easily defeated them. He recalled his Clefairy, and ran towards the door of the lighthouse. "I can't just go right through the front door," Blade said to himself. He then had an idea and released his Pidgey. "Pidgey, fly up to the top of the lighthouse and defeat those guards," Blade said as he looked up, "there are only three of them." Pidgey flew up to the top and after a few minutes, flew back down. Blade, with his swords still unsheathed, looked to the top. He began to stick his swords into the side of the lighthouse and climb up. He reached the top and saw the three Team Rocket members laying on the floor unconscious. He opened the door at the top and began to slowly walk down the stairs. He walked all the way down the stairs and saw Bill, surrounded by many members of Team Rocket. Blade ran to a nearby wall where he hid. He stuck his head out from behind the wall and saw Carmen standing right behind Bill with a gun to his head. "It is almost time," said a familiar voice standing in a shadow, "It is almost time to destroy this lighthouse." The man came out of the shadows and stood alongside Carmen. He was wearing a Team Rocket uniform, and his gloves were stained with blood. As the man stood next to Carmen, Blade recognized that he was none other than Stephon.
